Black History Month Trivia Night

Location: The Whole Music Club (Basement of Memorial Union)

Celebrate black history with a trivia night, hosted by BGAPSA. Trivia will be played through an online app so bring your phones, computers and tablets! Showcase your trivia knowledge and win prizes! Food and beverages provided by BGAPSA. Catering will be done through Afro Deli.

The student programming board is showcasing The Hate U Give in multiple locations  Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9. The first showing is Friday, Feb. 8, 7pm at (Coffman)Memorial Theater.

Proposal Workshop Event!

Writing Fund-able Grants in the Humanities and Social Sciences

This workshop is for graduate students seeking to apply for grants and fellowships within and external to the University of Minnesota. This highly interactive session will focus on general components of a proposal and strategies to increase your chances of getting funding.  Examples of successful proposals for various types of funding sources will be discussed.

Writing Grant Proposals in the Sciences & Engineering

This presentation and discussion are aimed at graduate students and postdocs who have started or plan to apply for grant or fellowship funding. Many tips on the essential elements of various components of successful grant proposals will be highlighted, with particular emphasis on clarity and connecting these pieces into one compelling proposal.
